An article on Discover Magazine says that night shift workers are more susceptible to many different health problems than people who work a normal daytime schedule. Researchers have established a direct link between an abnormal sleep cycle and altered hormone levels, which can disrupt metabolism and increase the risk of heart disease, diabetes, and obesity.

Next up in the series of DC Universe direct to DVD animated titles is Green Lantern: First Flight, slated for a Summer 2009 release. I’m a huge Green Lantern fan and what i’ve seen so far has got me really excited for this movie ! The behind the scenes video shows some really great looking production art and a few short interview clips. Bruce Timm is quoted as saying “We spend so little time on earth, almost the entire length of the movie takes place in outer space”. I’m also really pleased with the voice talent they were able to get for this. The primary cast of the movie is Christopher Meloni as Hal Jordan/Green Lantern, Victor Garber as Sinestro, Tricia Helfer as Boddika, and Michael Madsen as Kilowog.
