Death by night shift ?

For the past year I have been working the night shift (9pm-7am) and I really enjoy being alone and not having to deal with people. After reading this I’m a little worried about the long term effects of working this schedule…
An article on Discover Magazine says that night shift workers are more susceptible to many different health problems than people who work a normal daytime schedule. Researchers have established a direct link between an abnormal sleep cycle and altered hormone levels, which can disrupt metabolism and increase the risk of heart disease, diabetes, and obesity.
